Tasks That We Perform

Have you ever executed a task in which you never thought you could perform?

There are many jobs; for each specific skills are required. We usually do what our abilities, likes, or training permits us to help with leisure and living. Time comes when we do not have any of the above motivation and performance is needed.

This is the case of a concrete job that my dear frog accepted and I as his assistant. I like construction work, but trust me that it never fails the distance between a concept and reality.

Concrete is a product composed of cement, sand and gravel or other coarse aggregate. Working with concrete is a heavy duty work. It shouldn’t be perform on a rainy day, for sun is a must. With sun comes the hot weather and movement of the body will pull out strength. If you work in the week, taking Sundays for a job with concrete; keeping in shape mentally and physically is what you will want the most. When you get in bed you feel bones you didn't even know existed. Imagine the effort added to this weather situation and the absence of tools; you kind of convert into “Felix the Cat”.

Trying to fill cracks is complicated if the mixture is too thick or thin. No fancy tool was required, just the plastic glass (I drank my juice to hydrate me) and my finger.

Gadgets

The mixture requires water and the mix becomes a mass of what you really wouldn’t like to have on your flesh. Plastic boots are part of the vestment. Gloves will help to keep the contact away but they ought to be of plastic also. I had cloth ones on giving a wet, nasty sensation beyond the struggle of keeping the dry cement off.

I selected the video below, but we will make our own to teach how to mix concrete and create. God blesses everybody by showing us how to survive with our bodies.

One of my favorite hobbies doing jobs with cement. There are some vital tips left out here though.

a good mixture should always be on the top of your lists especially if you have specific jobs that require different textures and durability.

Cement can be applied in any weather, with modern technology and chemicals, cement can be made to dry faster for harsher weather or slowed in less demanding circumstances.

All in all working with cement is hard work yes, but very rewarding work, as one is able to get a very good workout (even better than aerobics I find)and a chance to design from dirt to final product.

Wonderful topic hope the project went well.

Thanks Froggie213...please forgive me for stepping two times on the concrete.

Workupafuss my dear SU friend very good comment. I thought you were a landscaper. Yes, as you say it is hard work; but when you finish and step back a nice satisfaction arises.

Sun or Rain, concrete is a tricky business:) People who can work with concrete and do it effectively...are very skilled. Whenever I watch the process, it is like watching an artist being careful about every move:) Thanks for sharing!
