One of My Hubs Has a Twin

Online burglar, or thieves

Awareness, Awareness...thieves outside!!

What are you doing to honor your copyright rules?

I appreciate the opportunity HubPages has given us to write on-line. I also commend HubPages for protecting our rights of The First Amendment of the United States Constitution.

I have learned so much from HubPages' requirements, as well as follow ups from my husband Froggy213 that has been a HubPages writer for over five years. I am also learning from the unconditional tutorials of our loved hubber Bill Holland.

I understand that not all is perfect in this world. I do understand that rules are rules and I would love a solution unto this issue. This actual hub is my 200th hub written for HubPages, I never thought it would have been about thieves.

HubPages has encountered many changes, challenges and writers signing in, and disappearing also. There are some hubbers with many writings; others without one hub written. My concern is that many sites are very well protected from thieves. Sure, we all search definitions and content on the subject being studied, but one thing is to steal the whole writing like if it is a uselessness thing. What about the writers time, effort and private pictures?

The online world is wide, for this, action needs to be taken in-order to protect copy-right.

The United States Copyright law

The United States copyright law is contained in Chapters 1 through 8 and 10 through 12 of Title 17 of the United States Code.

This law protects a work from the moment it was created in a fix, tangible form expression of expression, until not less than 70 years after the author's death.

Crossing by Ferry the San Juan Bay

A hub I wrote titled Crossing by Ferry the San Juan Bay was copied from HubPages and is being presented in another site. I will not link the site, but I will show evidence just in case you want to see if you have one in Google Search.

The 'thief site' has many other stolen articles; at least they had the "thief dignity" of leaving my name on it. I will not excuse them by doing so, since they have advertisements on the website.....what does it mean? They gain money from something they have without permission. I’m stating that it is not about a phrase nor a sentence stolen, but the whole article with pictures and all.

Imagine you go out of your home, for whatever reason, and as you pass by someone else's house, it is identical from yours...yes!! The dog, furniture, husband...even kids.

After I saw this hub many others were found. We may write a complaint, but there is more to it. I protect my home from burglars...HubPages is our home and we need protection, because it is good to be here.

I don't appreciate an empty nest...do you?

Thieves

What's happening to people?

Oh, yes I use pictures from Google image, but those images are free to be used. I also usually link the photo even when it is permitted. A thief is a person who steals secretly. This is the person who stole my hub.

When I first identified my twin hub, it was not appearing in Google search at the beginning of the search list. Then I couldn't search for my hub unless from my own HubPage list. Now, it is appearing, after so much effort.

I will use this experience to alert others, as well. I will not delete this hub until something has been done to protect our writings from being literally stolen.

We all have free expression, and we all sit around the round table to expose what we want. Don't you daddy HubPages?

Foolishness

How interesting it is to witness some people's open disrespect. The funny part is...Do they really think we just write and don't search??? How foolish a thief's attitude! A foolish person is defined as one that lacks of good sense, judgment, or discretion. It is unwise. It is brainless.

Proverbs 1:7

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge; Fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Solution

I would love a solution. Froggy213 is making some movements to help me with this. I want HubPages to honor their copyright rules. I want to give awareness to HubPage writers toward this situation. I want other sites to understand the wrong they do by stealing.

Personal Note to HubPages:

I have been working hard on my hubs, trying to make all those changes you email me. I have been working thorough all those circles (like Dalmatians and ping pong balls) I find in my statistic... I now ask:

What are you going to do with this issue? Will you guarantee us the commitment you state before we write a hub?

I have found more hubs in other blogs or sites, and I know that I am not the only one with this issue. This is a situation that ought to concern everybody online. I have found some of my hubs at least with my name on them also. It is just not right that from others' work...others' gain without permission.

Thanks, once again, HubPages; for letting us keep the right of free expression.

Ecclesiastes 4:9

Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor.

Blessings to all!
